MR Solutions debuts new MRI models
April 2016
SHARING OPTIONS:

GUILDFORD, U.K.—MR Solutions, a leading developer and manufacturer of preclinical MRI technology, displayed its latest cryogen-free 3T and 7T preclinical, multi-modality MRI models at the recent 11th European Molecular Imaging Meeting. The scanners, according to CEO Dr. David Taylor, offer PET or SPECT scanning. The four gamma camera heads and focusing collimator can be clipped on to the front of the bore of the MRI scanner to provide 3D SPECT images, which can be registered with the MRI images to offer anatomical-functional combined capability. The SPECT gamma camera can also be used independently. The PET capability is provided by solid state detectors incorporated into the bore of the MRI scanner. MR Solutions’ range of scanners include 16, 31 and 72 cm bores, and offers superior soft tissue contrast, high spatial resolution, a vastly reduced stray magnetic field and the ability to alter the magnetic field strength.
