Pluristem awarded ‘Smart Money’ grant
September 2017
SHARING OPTIONS:

HAIFA, Israel—Early August saw Pluristem Therapeutics Inc. receive a “Smart Money” grant from Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry to aid the company in its efforts to gain a foothold in the Chinese market with its advanced cell therapy products. The grant program seeks to support companies in expanding their businesses into international markets. The Israeli government will fund half of Pluristem’s marketing activities in the China-Hong Kong markets, with certain limitations, and the country’s trade representatives in China and Hong Kong will offer support as well, as will experts appointed under the grant program.

“Economic and trade activity between Israel and China is reaching new heights, fostering increased partnerships between the Israeli high-tech sector and Chinese companies,” said Yaky Yanay, Pluristem’s president and co-CEO. “We are honored to be part of these growing partnerships and to contribute to both countries. We look forward to providing better treatment options for millions of patients worldwide.”
