MORRISVILLE, N.C.—This spring, Syneos Health, which bills itself as “the only fully integrated biopharmaceutical solutions organization,” announced it had won the first ever Association for Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) All-Stars Challenge Challenge for sponsors and contract research organizations (CROs). The competition, which was conducted at the ACRP 2019 Annual Conference in Nashville, Tenn., tested competitors’ ability to create solutions to real-world scenarios in real-time.

“The All-Stars format provided a showcase for the collaborative problem-solving approach we bring to customer challenges every day,” said Paul Colvin, president of Syneos Health Clinical Solutions. “We are incredibly proud of the cross-functional Syneos Health team that mobilized to deliver stand-out solutions to complex scenarios in the high-pressure challenge. The team is a strong representation of the culture we’ve created at Syneos Health that thrives on cross-company insights sharing to speed the delivery of therapies to market.”

Syneos Health competed against four other teams of all-star talent from top sponsor companies and CROs. During the one-day competition, teams were provided with three real-world scenarios and presented solutions to a judging panel of industry leaders from across the clinical research spectrum. Teams were judged on their ability to work together and collaboratively solve problems, while exemplifying operational efficiency, teamwork, effectiveness, cost constraint and communication.

Syneos Health includes not only a CRO operation but also a contract commercial organization function. It was created through the merger of two industry leading companies, INC Research and inVentiv Health, and supports customers in more than 110 countries.
