A global effort
June 2020
SHARING OPTIONS:

RWS is aiming to help make COVID-19 information more widely available, having launched an online study on March 20 in an effort to engage its research community to collect existing research on 10 areas relevant to the pandemic. Roughly a week into the five-week study, RWS reported that 173 researchers had provided nearly 3,500 documents. The information will be available online for free via the RWS AOP Connect platform, and pharmaceutical companies can register for access at https://ip.rws.com/covid-19_study.

Prof. Gwilym Roberts, partner and chair at Kilburn & Strode LLP, said “Offering valuable pro-bono research can only help support the wider research community develop a treatment or vaccine faster, and opening up this patent research to the stakeholder community is a wonderful initiative.”
