January 2013
SHARING OPTIONS:

ORLANDO, Fla.—Two new bioresearch companies have relocated to Florida to join the state's Health Village, a 7.1 million square-foot hospital community. Mazor Robotics Inc., an Israeli developer of surgical robots, has relocated its U.S. headquarters to Orlando and will be settling in the Florida Hospital BioResearch Center at Health Village. The Profil Institute for Clinical Excellence, a leader in early- phase diabetes, obesity and cardiometabolic research, also joined the community, establishing its first East Coast location through a joint venture with Florida Hospital, and will be stationed at the Florida Hospital-Sanford Burnham Translational Research Institute. Health Village has an expected completion date of 2023. Buddy Dyer, mayor of Orlando, called Health Village "an integral part of our community's life-science industry cluster."
