August 2013
SHARING OPTIONS:

CLEVELANDóCase Western Reserve University and University Hospitals (UH) Case Medical Center have inked an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement that grants UH Case Medical Center rights to a set of diagnostic tests for determining drug resistance and co-receptor tropism in HIV. The first series of assays will be offered by the University Hospitals Translational Laboratory in the second quarter. No financial details were disclosed.

"The UHTL has provided us with an exciting opportunity to develop new molecular diagnostic tests, and the collaboration of Drs. Quinones-Mateu and Arts has been particularly fruitful for developing these new tests that will benefit patients by allowing individually targeted selection of therapies for HIV infection," said Dr. Clifford V. Harding, the Joseph R. Kahn, Professor of Pathology and chair of Department of Pathology, Case Western Reserve and UH Case Medical Center.
