EXTON, Pa.—Contract research organization Frontage Laboratories Inc. had a growth spurt recently, expanding its Pennsylvania bioanalytical laboratories by 10,000 square feet to provide more lab space for the company's work in biologic drug development, biomarkers and cell and gene therapy. The expansion will enable the establishment of a center of excellence for cell and gene therapy—which includes dedicated labs for DNA separation, purification, flow cytometry and cell culture—as well as increased capacity for biomarker, pharmacokinetic immunogenicity bioanalytical work. In addition, Frontage will expand its support services and LC-MS/MS and ICP-MS instrument capacity. At the time of the announcement, all expansion activities were expected to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2019.
